I have been a Natural History Nut all of my life! I used to like nothing better than ‘kicking back’ and watching the latest David Attenborough wildlife documentary or reading a book on Animal behavior.
The stories behind the evolution of all life on earth, captivated my imagination and held my wonder.
In 2006 I tried Scuba diving for the first time, while visiting Australia from the UK. It was ‘love at first dive’ and as soon as we got back on the boat I was booking my Open Water Course.
A year later we emigrated over to Australia, and I had purchased my first underwater video camera. I was no longer going to sit in the ‘Arm-chair’ watching Nature I was going to experience it first hand.
I came up with the idea for the Dive Around Website in my first year over here, I wanted to create a site that was educational,that highlighted a range of marine conservational issues, that gave scuba divers a detailed porthole to the dive sites around Australia.
The journey so far has been nothing short of amazing , I have dived with and filmed some of the most wondrous animals on the planet and met a lot of very talented, creative people who all share a common theme, the lasting conservation of our Oceans.
I shoot with a Sony FX7E in an Amphibico Endeavor housing (Flat port and wide angle) With a set of Sunray 1000 light and motion lights. I edit on a Mac Pro using Adobe CS4 Master Collection.
