Yellow-finned LeatherjacketMeuschenia trachylepis
They are pale grey/brown to yellow in colour with bright blue scribbled lines from the nose to the start of the anal fin. Paler scribbles appear through the side of the body. They have a distinct dorsal spine above the eye. Their fins are yellow, the most distinct being the tail fin. This can be bright orange/yellow with a white line at the base and margin. The caudal peduncle has two pairs of spines. Juvenilles are much paler with dark blotches over the body. They are found in rocky and kelp covered reefs of water 10m to 40m deep.
