Whitetip Reef SharkTriaenodon obesus
They are brownish-grey above which fades to white below, with grey spots scattered across their sides. White-tips to their dorsal fins and tail fin gives them their identity. They are found in tropical marine waters around coral reefs or lying on the bottom in caves and under ledges. Regularly they approach divers, however not particularly dangerous, yet do have the potential. Have 1 to 5 pups per litter. Size: Length 2.1m (Maximum) Diet: Cephalopods, Fish & Crustaceans |
