On the top side they have a dark brownish grey body with small white spots, underneath they are pure white. They have a duck bill shaped snout and a small long spine located near the base of the whiplike tail. With their wide pointed fins they swim with a very graceful presence, almost like they are gliding through the open skies like birds.
