The Violetline Maori Wrasse (Oxycheilinus digrammus) Is highly variable in body colour from orange to red, grey to green and brown (sometimes may also appear to be purple in certain light) but recognised by the pink lines that run horizontally over the eye and the several pinkish lines that run vertical along the cheek.
