Unicorn Leatherjacket

This Leatherjacket is pale brown to bluish grey bodied depending on the stage of development. The eye is set back quite far compared to other fish (usually above the gill). The have a mosaic/scribbled pattern located over the body with darker spots scattered over the sides. The are generally found in the deeper coastal waters around drop offs, overhangs and sandy bottomed areas.

Diet: Benthic Crustaceans, Small Bony Fish
