Triangular Butterflyfish

Mostly purple with broad yellow vertical bands at the head that become thinner across the body then fade out at the tail. They inhabit coastal and outer reef crests around small slopes where there is rich coral growth. Breeding pairs often shelter below Acropora plates feeding mainly on coral polyps.

Size: Length 15cm (Maximum)

Diet: Coral polyps, zoobenthos
