Titan TriggerfishBalistoides viridescens
(Other names Giant Triggerfish)
Known to be aggressive towards divers when protecting its young, the Titan Triggerfish (Balistoides viridescens) can be easily identified by its distinct markings. Grey bodied with dark centred scales and a yellow-green region on the side of the face just under the eye and before the pectoral fin. Over the eye a darker region with numerous yellow spots on top of the head. Another paler region displayed (almost white) over the caudal peduncle, and all fins a pale yellow ending with a black bar at the tip. Usually inhabits coral reefs and coastal reef slopes.
