Thorny-back CowfishLactoria fornasini
(Other names Thornback Cowfish)
Adults display a yellow to brown body with blue spots and scriggly lines over the entire body. They display a number of protruding spines along the body, two are located in front of the eyes, two beneath the caudal fin and one on the middle of the dorsal ridge line. Juveniles often display dark blotches with smaller blue spots until adulthood approaches. Often found in coastal reefs, seaward reefs and outer lagoons.
