Tasmanian BlennyParablennius tasmanianus
The Tasmanian Blenny (Parablennius tasmanianus) is typically orange to brown bodied with several small dark blotckes/markings located along the side of the body becoming more dominant from behind the pectoral fin. On close examination tiny white scribbles cover the entire body and fins creating a mosaic-like pattern. They often inhibit rocky reefs, bays and estauries, under rocks, ledges and jetties. Size: 15 cm Diet: Benthic fishes, algae, zooplankton, small benthic invertebrates. |
