Striped Pyjama SquidSepioloidea lineolata
Striped Pyjama Squid (Sepioloidea lineolata) is a member of the Bottletail squid family and is endemic to Southern Australian waters. Body colouration can be white to brown with numerous black/dark brown bars running the entire length of the body. Another id feature of the Striped Pyjama Suid is yellow on the pupils. They can be found during the day hiding buried in the sand, emerging at night to feed. This squid has glands that produces a poisonous slime that covers the body.
