Spotted WobbegongOrectolobus maculatus
Greenish-brown to grey-brown with paler 'ring' markings covering their entirety. They are often found inshore entering estuaries, under piers, and around sandy bottom areas. Regularly seen in water that barely covers its body. They are also common offshore around coral and rocky reefs. Capable of having up to 37 pups in a litter. Very similar to the Ornate Wobbegong (O. ornatus), however cleaner and smoother looking. Size: Length 3m (Maximum) Diet: Crabs, Lobster, Octopuses & Fish |
