Sparsely Spotted StingareeUrolophus paucimaculatus
The Sparsely Spotted Stingaree (Urolophus paucimaculatus) has a light grey to brown body with very few white spots (margined in brown/black) over the disc area. They are similar to the Common Stingaree but lack the dark shading over the eyes. They are commonly found in sandy and coastal bays, inlets, reefs and seagrass beds in the southern waters off Australia. Size: 57 cm Diet: Small fishes, small crustaceans / crabs / shrimp, worms |
