Southern Yellowtail Scad

As the name suggests it displays a yellow tail (caudal fin) along with a silver body. It can be specifically identified by the black spot located on the gill cover (operculum). They can be found forming large schools along coastal rocky reefs, estauries and bays.

Size: 50 cm in length (Maximum)

Diet: Zooplankton
