Solor BoxfishOstracion solorensis
(Other names Reticulate boxfish)
The male Solor Boxfish has a base colour of black with pale blue to white lines and spots over the body. The female also has an upper base colour of black with a yellowish brown snout and belly. Small dark spots are dominant around the snout with numerous lines and blotches over the entire body. They are commonly found in pairs but occasionally solitary in the clear waters of the northern tropical reefs. Size: 12cm in length (Maximum) Diet: Benthic Algae & Small Invertebrates |
