Slender Suckerfish

Often seen swimming underneath or attached to sharks and rays (also other large species) this slender suckerfish has a special sucking disc (considered to be a unique form of a dorsal fin) running from the top of the head and stopping just in line with the pectoral fin. Commonly dark grey to black bodied with a white bar running mid lateral along the fish from head to base of caudal fin. Also white underneath. The caudal fin is black with two white markings on the top and bottom. Matured adults have also been recorded as being uniformly grey.

Diet: Detritus & Small fish
