Slate SweetlipsDiagramma labiosum
Juveniles and adults variable in shape and colour. Juveniles white bodied and yellow faced with black bars running horizontally from head to tail. As they develop to the next stage before becoming adults numerous black spots appear between the bars. As adults they become uniformly silver to grey bodied. Found in large schools along coastal reefs, estauries and lagoons. Size: 100cm (Maximum) Diet: Benthic invertebrates |
