Singular BannerfishHeniochus singularius
Singular bannerfish have a pronounced white bar and filament with a yellow covered dorsal fin. Adults have black/dark centred scales within the main white strip. The eye is hidden by a black band that extends through to the tip of the snout, separated only by a thin white line from the eye band. Juveniles are secretive and solitary. They display a white ring around the mouth and a black caudal fin instead of the yellow. Size: 30cm Diet: coral polyps, benthic invertebrates, algae. |
