Their body colour varies from blue to green / silver to grey above and whitish grey to silver below. The caudal fin is generally a darkish grey along with the base of the dorsal and anal fin. A black margin runs from the operculum down to the base of the pectoral fin. Commonly found along coastal and offshore reefs generally in large schools.

Size: 35 cm in length (Maximum)

Diet: Zooplankton & benthic algae
