Sidespot GoastfishParupeneus pleurostigma
They have a pale white-pinkish body. Halfway down their body is a black spot followed by a white spot, and the base of the dorsal fin is black. They occur in tropical marine waters inhabiting seagrass beds, shallow lagoons and seaward reefs. They are commonly seen over sand, rubble, coral or rocky bottoms feeding on benthic (bottom dwelling) creatures. Size: 35cm (maximum) Diet: Shrimps, Small fish, Sea Urchins and Crabs. |
