Scissor-tail Sergeant

Found on rocky and coral reefs. The most certain way to identify the Scissor-tail from the closely related Sergeant-major and Bengal-Sergeant is two dark diagonal stripes on the caudal fin. (hence the name scissor-tail). It has five black stripes over the white body and is often found in large groups.

Size: 18cm in length

Diet: Algae, zooplankton
