Round-belly CowfishLactoria diaphana
(Other names Translucent Boxfish, Transparent Boxfish, Diaphanous Box-fish, Thorny-back Cowfish, Diaphanous C)
As the name suggests this Cowfish has a rounded belly with five spines located over the body. The first two are just above the eye which look like horns, a third located centrally on the back and the final two are positioned just above the anal fin. They are yellow to brown bodied with numerous blotches and spots which range from white, grey, green and black. Found along shallow reef flats, mudflats and offshore reefs.
