Redtooth Triggerfish

The Redtooth Trigerfish (Odonus niger) has a blue to purple body and a lunette shaped tail. The face of the fish tends to be lighter in colour and you can see eye lines running forward toward the snout. The two large red teeth are visible even when the fish has it's mouth closed. Adults can usually be found in numbers on Coral reefs, they are quite friendly and will approach divers.
