Red IndianfishPataecus fronto
Recognised by its distinct shape the Red Indianfish displays a very long and tall dorsal fin which runs along the entire length of the body from the top of the head. Colour may vary from yellow to brown, but mainly red to orange. A white blotch may also be displayed over the face and small black spots over the upper half of the fish. Usually found along coastal and offshore reefs. Size: 35cm (maximum) Diet: Crustaceans |
