Racoon ButterflyfishChaetodon lunula
Racoon Butterflyfish (Chaetodon lunula) Is mainly yellow, with black band covering eye, followed by a white band. Another black band travels from the white one diagonally to the middle of its back. At the tail there is a black tear drop. Juveniles are solitary and inhabit estuaries and sheltered bays, mainly in rock pools. Whereas adults pair up in lagoons and deep coastal reefs. Size: 20cm (maximum) Diet: Mainly Nudibranchs, Tubeworm Tentacles, other Benthic Invertebrates. |
