Pyramid ButterflyfishHemitaurichthys polylepis
Pyramid Butterflyfish (Hemitaurichthys polylepis) is distinctly marked by a snow white body extending to the caudal fin, prominently displaying a pyramid like peak medial to the spinous dorsal fin. The anal and dorsal fin are coloured orange-yellow with a brown to black head. Typically they occur in large schools along outer reefs. Size: Max length 18cm Diet: plankton |
