Pinklined WrasseCoris dorsomacula

Pinklined Wrasse (Coris dorsomacula) Adults are greenish bodied with pink lateral lines that fade to dots toward the tail. Over their back is dark red almost brown/black from eyes to tail. They have eight vertical pale bands spaced along body and a black spot at end of dorsal fin near the base. They are found in coastal to outer reef habitats in areas with rubble, weed and sand such as deep gutters and the margins of reefs. Juveniles are simple in colour with a brownish stripe across back and show signs of the pale vertical bars. Size: Length 20cm (Maximum) Diet: Benthic Crustaceans & Worms |
