Pearly-spotted RabbitfishSiganus fuscescens
(Other names Mottled Spinefoot, Dusky Rabbitfish)
Caution should be taken as this fish has small venomous spines, though not fatal can leave a sharp uncomfortable sting. They have a bluish grey to greenish brown body with mottled spots on the side which become more dominant when frightened. They are often yellow over the top of the head and dorsally. They usually form large schools around coastal and inner reefs. Size: 25cm in length (Maximum) Diet: Algae & Seagrass |
