Moorish Idol

Recognised by its distinct extra long white dorsal fin and two black bars along the body. The caudal fin is also black but tipped with blue,and the caudal peduncle area is yellow. It is usually seen in pairs or sometimes large schools along coastal and offshore reefs.

Size: 24cm in length (Maximum)

Diet: sponges, small encrusting animals, coralline algae
