Moonlighter (Tilodon sexfasciatus) is a subtropical fish and as an adult is often found around offshore rocky reefs and deeper coastal waters. They have a dark brown/black and white vertical banded body and the juveniles are identified by the black ocelli (which is edged in white) located on the base of the dorsal and anal fins. Juveniles, unlike their parents can be found in shallow rocky reefs often hiding under ledges and larger rocks. Size: 40 cm Diet: Benthic invertebrates & zoobenthos |
