Monocle BreamScolopsis bilineata
(Other names Two-lined monocle bream, Bridled Monocle Bream)
Identified by its distinct appearance where the body colour is separated by a black edged white bar that runs (curving) from the base of the mouth to the base of the dorsal fin. Above this it is black in colour with yellow horizontal stripes and a yellow dorsal fin. The base half of the fish is white to silver in colour and generally has a black anal fin with a blue margin on top. Commonly found along coastal reefs, outer reef lagoons and coral reefs.
