Midnight Snapper

Their colours morph as they mature. Juveniles are black bodied with white spots along the back. They also have a white horizontal bar running along the lower side of the body. Adults are a dark bluish grey on top with numerous small blue spots and lines. They have a distinct yellow iris and around the area of the head is also yellowish. Found in the tropical coastal waters of Queensland.

Diet: Zooplankton
