It has a whitish grey body and the dorsal and belly area are often yellowish in colour. The entire body is covered in dark brown to black lines, scribbles, spots and blotches. The base of the pectoral fin is usually surrounded by an irregular black blotch which helps to identify this Pufferfish. They are often found solitary around coral and seaward reefs hanging around drop offs, overhangs and sheltered areas. Size: 65cm in length (Maximum) Diet: Algae, Sponges & Invertebrates. |
