Adult longfin bannerfish (Heniochus acuminatus) have a long tapering dorsal filament. The anal fin is long with a more pronounced angular shape. The dorsal fins are soft and yellow as are the caudal and pectoral fin. Typically the body is white with two broad black bands. Adults usually live in pairs, juveniles sometimes live in small groups.
