The Loggerhead turtle is listed as endangered in Queensland under the (Nature Conservation Act 1992) and is listed as endangered and is protected Australia wide under the (Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999). The top of the shell is dark grey-brown above with irregular dark brown and pale white/yellow patches on the legs and head. The sides are usually creamish in colour. They can be commonly found around coral reefs, bays and estuaries in tropical and warm temperate waters.

Size: 1.2 (Maximum)

Diet: Molluscs, crustacean, jellyfish, sea cucumbers & sea urchins
