Kuiter's WrasseMacropharyngodon kuiteri

Adults are a light orange almost pinkish colour with bluish-white spots on each scale. They have a small faded black marking immediately behind the eyes, and about an inch behind that (on opercle) a large black spot which is rimmed with blue. Juveniles have two 'eye' spots, one on the dorsal fin, the other on the anal fin. They are bony-white with brown spots scattered over the entire fish. They can be found in sandy areas, amongst rubble, and in algae rich zones. Size: 10cm (Maximum) Diet: Benthic Crustaceans |
