Klein's ButterflyfishChaetodon kleinii
(Other names Sunburst Butterflyfish, Brown Butterflyfish)
Klein's Butterflyfish (Chaetodon kleinii) has a black tip to its snout followed by white up to the black eye bar. Three more white bars present behind the eye bar through the central body extending up through the caudal fin. The remainder of the body is a browny gold shade, brighter at the rear, with pale white spots in rows throughout the main body. The anal and dorsal fins are margined in black and white. Both adults and juveniles are openly seen along coral reefs, deep lagoons and channels. Size: Max Length 13cm Diet: coral polyps, zooplankton, algae |
