KelpfishChironemus marmoratus
Kelpfish are easy identify as there is only a few species found throughout Australian waters. They have a brown to grey body overlayed with a darker camouflaged blotched pattern. This particular species has only been recorded along the southern east coast starting from SE Queensland down to Tasmania. They can been found in loose schools around rocky outcrops off coastal reefs. Size: 40cm in length (Maximum) Diet: Invertebrates & Small fish |
