Java RabbitfishSiganus javus
(Other names Streaked spinefoot )
Bluish grey to brown body colour with numerous small white spots on the upper half of the body and fine white uneven lines on the bottom half. They tend to have a shade of yellow/orange or red on the dorsal and anal and around the cheeks and snout region. The caudal fin is usually dark blue with a black patch in the middle. The fins have numerous small spines associated with venom glands which can inflict quite alot of pain. Commonly found along coastal reefs and occasionally in estuarine areas.
