Humpback SnapperLutjanus gibbus
(Other names Paddle-tail)
This fish has a grey/pinkish body with fins that are red to dark brown and margined with white. The caudal fin is a large rounded forked fin. Juveniles have pale fins submargined with red/brown lines and yellow on the caudal fin. Adults inhabit deep lagoons and seaward reefs. Size: 50cm (Maximum) Diet: Shrimps, small fish, sea urchins and crabs. |
