HumbugDascyllus aruanus
(Other names Humbug Dascyllus)
White with three black bands, one covering the eye, another midway and the last near the tail. Juveniles are almost completely black with little white showing. Males attract females to spawn in their nest, during this time they are very territorial. They form large congregations around staghorn Acropora thickets, inhabiting shallow lagoon and subtidal reef flats. Size: 8cm (Maximum) Diet: Zooplankton, Benthic Invertebrates, and Algae |
