Highcrown SeahorseHippocampus procerus
The Highcrown Seahorse is variable in colour from drab brown and grey to yellow, orange and green. Dark small scribbles and spots can appear along the length on the body. Like the name suggests the Coronet (crown) is quite large on this species. Only found in Australian waters (endemic) The male of this species cares for and caries the eggs of it's young in a pouch until they hatch.
