Harlequin SweetlipsPlectorhinchus chaetodonoides
Juveniles very different in colour to that of adults. Juveniles brown bodied with large white blotches edged in dark brown over the entire body. As they develop into adults they become white bodied and display numerous dark brown to black spots over the entire body and head, including all fins except the ventral fin which is black. Found along coastal reefs, in deep water around overhangs and ledges. Size: 60cm in length (Maximum) Diet: Crustaceans, fish & mollusks |
