Harlequin Shrimp

Easily recognised by its distinct shape and colouration, they have a pale white body with large brownish-blue blotches. The legs have black bands and the front claws are very wide and plate/paddle-like. They are usually found in pairs along coral and coastal reefs where they are known to be very territorial and are often seen devouring their most common food, the Sea Star.
