Hairy-Red Hermit CrabDardanus lagopodes
This large Hermit Crab can be best identified by its bright red body colouration and thousands of tiny white tipped bristles cover the claws/legs. They are commonly found along coastal waters in seagrass habitats, where, during the day you will normally find them resting under crevices, when night falls they become active as they forage for food.
