Green MorayGymnothorax prasinus

Yellowish brown to green bodied, this moray eel can be found inhabiting rocky areas around harbours, bays, coastal and offshore reefs. It is known to be one of the most common eels found in NSW. Caution should be taken when eels are sighted, although they are considered to be normally quite placid their jaws and teeth may inflict harmful wounds if provoked or caught off guard.
