Goldspot PigfishBodianus perditio
(Other names Goldspot Wrasse, Golden-spot Hogfish, Goldspot Hogfish)
Although the Goldspot Pigfish (Bodianus perditio) is highly variable in body colour (such as red, pink, yellow, orange, green or purple) they can usually be identified by a distinct black blotch (saddle like) located just below the soft dorsal fin area and there is usually a lighter patch just before this (generally white). They may also display small yellow spots around the head and first half of the body. They can usually be found around coral and coastal reefs.
