Globe FishDiodon nicthemerus
(Other names Slender-spined Porcupinefish)
The Globe Fish (Diodon nicthemerus) has a body that is variable in colour with black, grey and white but it is easily identified by the small yellow spines located over the body and large eyes which are often also circled by yellow. They are very common in the southern waters of Australia in small schools around jetties and other coastal regions including shallow bays. Size: 40 cm Diet: Benthic Invertebrates |
