GlasseyePriacanthus blochii
(Other names Paeony bulleye )
Often mistakenly identified as the Blotched Bigeye (Heteropriacanthus cruentatus) the Glasseye displays a variable colour of reddish to brown with a silvery background. Reddish vertical bars or blotches may also be evident. There are usually a small group of spots displayed along the lateral line of the fish. The colour of this fish has been known to vary within the mentioned colours depending on its mood. Usually found in seaward reefs, lagoons, caves, rocky outcrops and in silty systems.
