Giant CuttlefishSepia apama
This is the worlds largest Cuttlefish and is found around seagrass habitat and rocky reefs. They have rapid colour changes like all other species. From April to June at Point Lowly and Whyala in SA, a massive spourning takes place where thousands of Cuttlefish court and mate. Mass displays of colour can be witnessed as the male attempts to woo the females and ward off other male rivals. Size: 100 cm in length (Maximum) Diet: Crustaceans, Fish & Mollusks |
